The Superstars have had a very creative couple of weeks.  We have been working on a book on the Seabury Pets, a book of poetry, and individual stories about bugs.  I hope you had a chance to listen to the CD that came home with your child last Friday.  How many 5-6 year olds have their own song recorded?!  We will be singing the song and sharing our books with our visitors on Grandparent/Special Friend Day on May 1.  The children really enjoyed their time with Eric Ode last week.  Eric encouraged the children to write about things they like and know about.  It was fun for all of us and we have continued writing class poems this week about anything that comes to mind.

Last week we also started keyboarding.  The Navigator class joined us in the computer lab and helped us get started.  They were great with our younger kids.  It's a great partnership for both classes.

Greetings from the Superstars!  As we start our last trimester together, I am amazed at the growth we have seen.  Children who couldn't read are now reading.  Children who could read are reading with better comprehension and confidence.  We are starting to tell time,  we can add and subtract, read a graph, work independently and paint and create with flair.  We enjoy being together and find many things to laugh about every day.  We work hard and we play hard.  And one of the best things:  we genuinely care about each other.  The children are loving, accepting, kind and empathetic.  We make a good team!  Thank you for sharing your children with us.  Enjoy our pictures from our St. Patrick's Day and birthday celebration.

Thanks to all of you for supporting the Seabury Auction.  It is always a fun event and a great way to raise funds to help Seabury.  Our class project turned out great, the children did a terrific job.
The science fair was a big hit.  The kids did a great job with their experiments, it was amazing how they explained their projects and answered questions from all our visitors.  The kids really enjoyed this event.

The Superstars have been learning about their bodies this past couple weeks.  This is a subject that has really caught their interest.  The kids at Seabury work hard and play hard.  I don't think they know the difference, they love it all!  Enjoy our latest pictures.

Last Friday was a great day at the zoo!  Yes, it was freezing.  Yes, we were practically the only people there.   But we had the whole place to ourselves and the sun was shining!  We had great access to the exhibits, no waiting, no lines.  It was a terrific way to wind up our studies of tundra animals, the Arctic and Antarctica.
