Pioneer Farm

Making a wool bracelett
Shooting a bow and arrow
Grinding coffee

Petting the sheep

We had a wonderful time at Pioneer Farm/Ohop Indian Village on Wednesday. The students enjoyed seeing what Pioneer and Native American life was like. Some highlights were: the barn animals, jumping in the hay loft, the wagon ride, dressing up, shooting arrows, making arrowheads, and playing games.

We had the most exciting day!  We spent some time today reading to the Beacons' class.  Every Superstar was reading at some level, some are beginners and some are more accomplished but everyone shared in the excitement of reading out loud and forming new friendships!  It was a magical moment  with lots of happy, smiling children.  The Beacons were so helpful and patient with us.  We are hoping to do this again soon.

Check out our pictures from last week when the police dog visited Seabury and today's pictures when we painted turkeys on each other's hands and later visited the Beacon's class.

What a great day for the pumpkin patch!  The weather was great, the pumpkin patch was fun and the company couldn't have been any better! Thanks so much to all our chaperones, we couldn't have done it without you.
